REDEEMING COUPONS

Redeeming Coupons

First, determine what product the coupon is for: Draw game (e.g., Powerball, Cash POP, Mega Millions, etc.), Fast Play, or Scratch-off. Then follow the appropriate instructions below.

Terminal Instructions

Terminal instructions for redeeming coupons are diferent for Scratch-off and Draw Game tickets.

Scratch-offs

When redeeming a coupon for a Scratch-off, simply scan the barcode on the coupon and a Prize Payment receipt will print from the terminal. If you are unable to scan the barcode provided on the coupon, enter it manually by following the directions printed on the coupon.

Scratch-off Instructions:

  1. Scan the barcode or to manually enter the coupon, select [Scratch Functions], then select [Validate Ticket]. Enter the number printed below the barcode, then the number printed above the barcode and select [Send].
  2. Present the customer with one (1) free $1 Scratch-off or $1 off any Scratch-off purchase.
  3. Maintain coupon and Prize Payment receipt according to your store policy.

Troubleshooting: If "invalid" error appears after scanning, ensure "Promo/Coupon" was NOT selected for Scratch-off coupon redemption.

 

Draw and Fast Play Games

When redeeming a coupon for a free Draw or Fast Play ticket, you must first press the “Promo/Coupon” button on the terminal before scanning or entering the barcode manually on the coupon and the free ticket will print. If for any reason, you are unable to scan the barcode provided on the coupon, manually enter the code by following the directions printed on the coupon.

Draw and Fast Play Instructions:

  1. Select [Promo/Coupon] and scan the barcode OR to manually enter the coupon. Enter the number printed below the barcode.
  2. The terminal will automatically print a Prize Payment receipt valid for one (1) Draw or one (1) Fast Play ticket that is listed on the player's coupon.
  3. Present the customer with the ticket.
  4. Maintain coupon and Prize Payment receipt according to your store policy.

More Information

  • Coupons are redeemable at any participating Hoosier Lottery retail location.
  • Coupons are single-use and will be voided in the system after use.
  • Coupons are not valid with any other offer.
  • Coupons are limited to 1 per person.
  • Coupons may not be redeemed for cash or other Hoosier Lottery products.
