Each of our retailers shares a critical responsibility: to understand positive play and responsible gaming and share resources as needed.

Our Responsible Gaming Flyer is a terrific resource to offer players who have questions or exhibit any of the signs of problem gambling. You may also press the problem gambling helpline button on your terminal to provide players with the problem gambling helpline in a discreet manner.
 

Educate Your Employees

Educating your employees is key to helping your customers.

Make sure they know:

• What to do if asked for help
• Where to find the problem gambling helpline number (1-800-994-8448) printed on nearly all Hoosier Lottery products and materials
• How to explain odds to customers in a clear and understandable way
• Sell only to adults 18 years of age and older. If you’re unsure, don’t be afraid to ask for an ID. Use the “born by” date on the terminal screen for verification
