INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 24, 2020) — For the second year in a row, the Hoosier Lottery and Powerball® are teaming up to give Hoosier Lottery players a chance to become the Powerball First Millionaire of the Year
SM.
“Even though, many aspects of our lives have changed,” said Hoosier Lottery Executive Director Sarah M. Taylor, “the ball will still drop and a new year will begin. This years’ experience might be different, but the shot at winning a million dollars remains.”
Through September 14, 2020 at 11:59 PM ET, players can enter their eligible non-winning Powerball tickets into the myLOTTERY 2nd Chance promotion through the Hoosier Lottery app or website. Thirty Hoosier Lottery players will each win $500 and a chance to become one of five finalists who could win $1,000,000 on New Year’s Eve. The five finalists in the national promotion, which includes participating lotteries across the U.S., will be able to select one of two VIP prize packages:
New Year’s Eve VIP Experience in New York City:
Finalists interested in ringing in the New Year in “The Big Apple” can choose an all-expense paid VIP trip for two to New York City. This includes: round-trip airfare, three nights in Manhattan, meals, transportation, access to exclusive events and $1,000 in spending money.
New Year’s Eve Party-at-Home Package:
Those finalists who would rather spend New Year’s Eve in the comfort of their home can choose the Party at Home Package. It includes: a $12,500 cash prize, deluxe surf and turf dinner for eight from Omaha Steaks, 70" LED TV including a home theater sound system and so much more!
