Two lucky Hamilton County residents recently purchased winning Hoosier Lottery tickets within days of each other at the same Hoosier Lottery retailer - a Speedway at 704 E. St. Rd. 32 in Westfield. Both winners claimed their prizes on the same day, Feb. 5, at Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis.

Powerball winners continue to claim from $1.5 BILLION run

Lucky winners continue to claim their winnings from last month's historic $1.5 BILLION Powerball run, visiting Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis from all parts of the state since the Jan. 13 drawing. The recent winners include a father-of-four from Danville, a young Indianapolis surgeon, a pair of soon-to-be grandparents who won their second major Indiana Powerball prize in South Bend, the entire staff of a Chinese restaurant in Evansville, "The Gang" from Remy headquarters in Anderson, a man named Clark Gable in Corydon and a Chicago-area woman who prefers to be called "Buttercup."

Winning means retirement and Hawaii for LaPorte man

With more than half-a-million in Hoosier Lottery winnings in the bank, a LaPorte man hopes to rest a little easier and take his dream vacation in 2016. Alan Wallis matched all five numbers in the Jan. 23 Cash 5 drawing to win one of the largest jackpots in the game's history, a $774,487 prize.

Meet the Indiana Powerball winners

Dozens of Powerball players in Indiana won big money in the recent record-breaking $1.5 BILLION Powerball run. Twenty-eight Powerball players in Indiana won $50,000 prizes, two more won $100,000 and one lucky player won $1 million in the last six draws of the historic run, from Dec. 26 to Jan. 13. In the Jan. 13 record-setting draw, more than 421,000 winning Powerball tickets were purchased in Indiana worth a combined total of $4,095,118.
