On his way to and from his job as a mechanical contractor, Chris Wharff picks up a few Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs. He recently has been playing the $30 200X the Cash Scratch-off because he likes the prizes. The Whitestown resident purchased a ticket and scratched in the store one day. He then scanned it on the Hoosier Lottery app, which revealed he won the $30,000 top prize!

Chris immediately called his younger brother, who also plays the Hoosier Lottery, to tell him about his big win. His brother was happy for him. Chris then called one of his two teenage daughters to tell her the news because he knew she’d be excited about his win. A few days later, he told his wife, who was happy about the win, but as Chris put it, “She doesn’t really care about money and if we have a little or a lot, so she wasn’t as excited as I was.”

And though Chris’ daughters already have a wish list to spend the prize money on, including a golf cart (to learn to drive on of course), Chris plans to put the money in the bank.
