Indianapolis resident Patricia Donahue enjoys the fun and excitement of playing Hoosier Lottery games. One her way home from her job at Huntington Bank, Patricia purchased a $20 Triple Red 777 Scratch-off and put it in her purse so she could scratch it later.

She ended up waiting until she was at Hoosier Lottery Town at the Indiana State Fair to scratch the ticket. She was scratching a few tickets she bought at the Fair when she saw she hadn’t scratched the $20 Triple Red 777.

Patricia was surprised when the ticket showed she won $10,000. She immediately opened the Hoosier Lottery app and scanned the ticket to make sure she won. “I didn’t know whether to cry or scream,” she said about the moment she realized she really had won.

When she told her partner about her win, he couldn’t believe it.

Patricia plans to use her winnings to pay a few bills and will put the rest in savings.
