Leslie Dodd is a city mail carrier for the USPS and is in the 25th year of her career. Leslie is also a Gulf War veteran and the proud mother of two daughters and six grandchildren.

On her day off, Leslie had been at home all day and needed to get out of the house. She went to the Marathon gas station and purchased a $5 Poker Night Scratch-off. In the parking lot, she scratched her ticket to reveal that she had won the $100,000 top prize!

Leslie ran back into the station and scanned her ticket to be sure she had won. Leslie wondered to herself, “This can’t be real – this is happening to me?”

Leslie told her daughters and her cousin about her win, who were all very surprised and excited about the news. Her coworkers were in disbelief that she still came to work after such an exciting moment and finally convinced her to take the day off to claim her prize and soak it all in.

Leslie plans to pay off her car and credit card with the prize money. She also plans to take a trip with her family and save the rest for retirement.
