Carol Freeman loves to play Powerball® and Mega Millions®. She also loves to walk. In fact, on most days you can find her out walking around her hometown of Williamsport. During these walks, she usually stops in at the Williamsport Food Mart to purchase her weekly lottery tickets.

One Sunday morning when Carol checked her Powerball numbers, she was surprised to see she matched several numbers. She wasn’t sure how much she won, so she asked her Alexa unit, “How much do you win if you match four white balls and the Powerball?”

The reply was, “$50,000.”

Carol was thrilled!

The next day she saw a news story about a $150,000 winning Powerball ticket that was sold in Williamsport.

Carol said, “I thought, ‘Wait a minute! How much?’” She looked at her ticket again and saw she had added Power Play®. She had completely forgotten!

“When I saw the Power Play was 3 for that drawing, I started shaking,” said Carol. “I kept thinking, ‘Am I reading this right?’”

Carol plans to pay a few bills with her winnings and will put the rest in savings.
