GROUP CLAIMS $2M SCRATCH-OFF PRIZE

A group of Hoosiers claimed a $2 million Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off prize as Winner Winner Chicken Dinner LLC.

The group members felt like they were in the right place at the right time. They were running errands, stopped to buy doughnuts and shortly after decided to stop at Circle K to buy Scratch-offs.

While at the Circle K, 6945 Kentucky Ave. in Camby, the group bought three Scratch-offs, including a $20 100X The Cash Scratch-off. One winning number matched a 59 in the play area to win a top prize of $2 million.

After realizing they won $2 million, the group sought financial and legal advice. The group asked about choosing an LLC name, and one of the experts explained they could choose any name they wanted, joking they could use, “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.” The group liked the name and discovered it wasn’t taken, so they stuck with it.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner LLC chose to take the prize as a lump sum payment of $1,528,847 before taxes.

The winners had no major plans for the prize money; they said they will likely put it toward retirement savings.

“We’re still going to work every day,” one of the winners said.

Two prizes of $2 million remain for $20 100X The Cash as of Sept. 21.
