Darrell Vanzant is a United States Postal Service employee and lives in Camby on the southwest side of Indianapolis. For fun, Darrell likes to play Hoosier Lottery games.

One day on his way to work, Darrell purchased a few Powerball® tickets. After the drawing, he was still at work and used the Hoosier Lottery app to scan his tickets. He was thrilled to see he won $50,000. “I was so excited,” said Darrell. “Buying a new boat immediately came to mind.”

Darrell told a couple of his co-workers, and they were very happy for him. He then called his mom and told her about his win. She was very surprised and exclaimed, “Are you kidding me?!”

Darrell plans to use his winnings for some projects around the house. And just maybe a new boat.
