Gloria Messmer of Lanesville's sister brought her a ticket during the recent record-breaking Powerball® jackpot run. The day after the drawing, Gloria saw a story about the drawing in her phone’s newsfeed. That prompted her to get out her ticket and check her numbers. She couldn’t believe it when she saw that she had matched four white balls plus the Powerball for a $50,000 prize. “It was so exciting, but I’ve been a nervous wreck ever since,” she laughed.
Gloria plans to help several family members with her winnings and give some to her church.
