Judy K. was on her way to the store when she heard the radio station she was listening to mention the Powerball jackpot. She decided since the jackpot was so high, she’d buy a ticket. She ended up winning $50,000!
Judy, from Indianapolis, is retired after a career in office work. Her ticket for the Oct. 17, 2018 drawing matched 4 of 5 numbers and the Powerball for her $50,000 prize. She bought the winning ticket at McFardland Citco in Indianapolis.
Judy said she plans to save the prize money.
