RETIRED MECHANIC WINS $50,000 ON POWERBALL

A man from Harrison County, Indiana recently learned he won $50,000 on Powerball.

Donald Sutherland retired from a career as a diesel mechanic in September. He and his wife discovered they had a winner by taking the ticket to a local gas station to have them scan it.

The ticket for the Oct. 27, 2018 drawing matched 4 of 5 numbers and the Powerball for the $50,000 prize. Donald bought the winning ticket at Highway 135 Food & Fuel in Corydon.

The couple wasn’t immediately sure how they would spend their prize money, but they were considering paying off their house.
