Zakeita Gilmore is a very busy woman. Besides working long hours as a home health aide, she also runs her own small business selling items from booths at a couple of local resale shops.

Recently, after years of watching her dad have a blast playing Quick Draw, Zakeita decided it was finally her turn to join in on the fun. With a little guidance from her dad, she started playing.

“My dad is teaching me how to play, and now it’s something we do together,” she said.

The father-daughter duo were shopping for groceries at Kroger one day when they each decided to buy a few Quick Draw tickets. After the drawing, Zakeita scanned her tickets using the Hoosier Lottery’s app. She knew she had won a significant prize when the screen displayed a message stating she would need to contact the Hoosier Lottery to claim her winnings.

Not knowing how much she won, she arrived at the Hoosier Lottery’s Prize Payment office in Indianapolis and was stunned to learn she won $10,000.

“I’m so excited!” she exclaimed.

Zakeita plans to use her winnings to make a couple of repairs to her car and will save the rest.
