A chef from Carmel was overwhelmed after winning $1 million playing Powerball®. The chef joined 19 other players who won $1 million or more during the April 29 drawing.
He found out he won by first looking at the Hoosier Lottery app, and after watching a video of the drawing online, he knew he had won $1 million.
He shared the news with his wife and close family. His nephew accompanied him to claim his prize at the Hoosier Lottery office in Indianapolis.
The new millionaire plans to buy a house with the prize money. Yes, chef!
