It was an especially happy birthday for Schererville’s Anthony Lane, who claimed a $50,000 Powerball prize three days before his birthday.
Anthony works for his family’s golfing business. He bought the winning Powerball ticket at Speedway, 8575 Wicker Ave., in St. John, Indiana on his way to a golf outing. About 10 days after the drawing, on his way to a different golf outing, he had a Speedway check his ticket and discovered he won.
Anthony plans to pay off debt and put some of the prize money toward his family’s annual trip to Florida.
