David Wood of Indianapolis was delighted to learn that he won $50,000 playing the popular Draw game Powerball®. David has been playing the lottery for six years and enjoys Scratch-offs and Draw games.

A day after a Powerball drawing, the World War II veteran stopped at an Exxon station to have the clerk scan his tickets. When the clerk congratulated him on his win, David was shocked.

He immediately told his wife and says she cried when she heard the news. He also told his sister, who also cried tears of joy.

David’s plans for the prize money include putting most of it in the bank and using the rest for medical expenses.
