Anthony Grier lives in New Albany, along the Ohio River. He spends his days driving a dump truck, but his passion is detailing semi-trailer trucks. “I like to get all that chrome nice and shiny,” said Anthony.

Typically, whenever he stops to get gas for his dump truck, Anthony buys a couple Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs. One day he was sitting in his truck scratching a $20 Supreme Gold he had just purchased and couldn’t believe it when it showed he won the game’s top prize of $500,000.

“I just kept looking at it,” said Anthony. “Then I got all nervous,” he laughed.

Excited to share his news, Anthony called his mom. When he told her he just won half a million dollars, she thought he was joking. She was thrilled when she realized it was true.

Anthony plans to use his winnings to pay off his car and possibly purchase a new home.
