David Hightower recently retired. A crowning achievement, though he admits he’s still finding ways to fill his time. In David’s past career doing insulation work, he was always out and about, which made stopping to pick up Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs convenient. Now that he’s traveling less, he has not been playing as much, but he still picks up a few tickets when he’s out.

A new Scratch-off, $10 Stacks of Cash, caught David’s eye and with a top prize of $10,000, he thought he’d give it a try. David scratched the ticket in his truck and thought he had won $1,000.

“My first thought was ‘Great, now I have to go to Indy.’” However, once he showed his wife, she realized he had won $10,000, which made the drive to Indianapolis to claim his prize much more exciting.

David plans to use some of the prize money on a flooring project and put the rest in the bank.
