Dave has devoted his life to helping others in their most vulnerable times of need. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his attitude has been no different.
For 35 years, Dave was an EMT, and then a firefighter with the Lawrence Fire Department. The firehouse life and camaraderie he shared with his fell firemen and women is something he’s thankful for every day. He currently
resides in Brownsburg and even though he retired last year, he remains an active paramedic to help during this time of need in Indiana. Even after so long, he’s still as proud and eager as ever to have the opportunity to help people. When asked what it means to him to be a Hoosier, he said:
“A Hoosier is someone that is rewarded with the opportunity to help people, and the responsibility to make the worst day of some people’s lives a little bit better.”
The Hoosier Lottery would like to thank Dave Campbell for his 35 years of service to the Indianapolis community as a firefighter and for his continued service today and beyond. We’d also like to thank our frontline workers and all of the other Hoosiers who are going above and beyond to help others during this unprecedented time.
