La Porte Hoosier wins $50,000 top prize on Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off 
On Thursday, April 8, Megan Campbell, LaPorte, claimed a $50,000 top prize on the $30 Extreme Cash Scratch-off. The winning Scratch-off was purchased at Liquor Stop 2 in Portage.

On her way home from work, Megan and her boyfriend stopped by the nearby liquor store and decided to purchase some Scratch-offs when she got to the register. “I don’t typically play, but I had some extra money in my pocket,” she recalled.

When she and her boyfriend got to their car, she began to play the Scratch-off. “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.” Megan recalled. “As soon as I was done, I checked the result in the store as well as the app on my phone. I still couldn’t believe it – I’ve never won more than $250 before.”

Megan plans to use the money to put towards her house and possibly start her own business.
