Wild Cherry Crossword 5X $100,000 Top Prize Winner: “2021 is going to be my year!”
Jennifer Brown of Indianapolis loves playing the Hoosier Lottery crossword games. “I don’t play because I want to win—I play because I love the game.” On Saturday, January 16, she purchased some of her favorite Scratch-offs at Friendly Porch, on Troy Avenue in Indianapolis.
 
After playing Wild Cherry Crossword 5X she discovered she had matched 9 words on one of the Scratch-offs. As soon as she noticed this, her heart started to beat out of her chest. “This is a big winner!” she thought to herself. She returned to Friendly Porch to have her ticket scanned to make sure her eyes weren’t playing tricks on her. The clerk told her she would have to go to the Hoosier Lottery office to claim her prize—she had won $5,000!
  
Upon returning home she discovered in all her excitement she had forgotten to finish scratching the ticket. That’s when she really made a discovery! She did not win $5,000 – she won the top prize on the ticket: $100,000! She was excited, overwhelmed, and thankful. Like many Hoosiers, the COVID-19 pandemic has presented many challenges in her life. She and her family are looking forward to using the money to help purchase a house they can call home.
