Tamara Herring of Indianapolis enjoys playing Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs, especially during the mornings before she goes to work.

After purchasing a $5 Black Diamond Dazzler Scratch-off, Tamara scanned it with the Hoosier Lottery app. When a message popped up saying she would need to contact the Hoosier Lottery for her prize, she was confused and thought there must be something wrong.

She took her ticket home and showed it to her husband. He suggested she take it back to the retailer where she bought it, so Tamara hopped in the car and drove over to the Circle K. She asked the clerk to scan the ticket for her and was elated when they told her it was indeed a winner. Tamara had just won the game’s top prize of $100,000! “It felt like a fantasy,” Tamara said.

Tamara and her husband have been planning to move to Atlanta, Georgia, and will use the prize money to help with the move.
