Paul Resnick II stopped by the Hoosier Lottery retailer near his job one day, and the $10 Chrome Scratch-off caught his eye. The metallic design and game odds sparked his interest, and Paul purchased a ticket. In the parking lot, he scratched his ticket and saw that he won $10,000!

After scanning his ticket on the Hoosier Lottery app, Paul took a screenshot of his win and texted it to his mom. “We saw all those zeros and couldn’t believe it,” Paul’s mom recalls about receiving the text.

However, the rest of Paul’s family was harder to convince. The family often pranks one another with gag lottery tickets, so Paul’s win raised some skepticism, but eventually his family believed him and were excited for him.

Paul plans to save the prize money.
