Gracie Davidson’s grandparents like to give the adults in their family Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs as gifts at Christmas. The family gathered for Christmas and scratched their tickets. Gracie scratched off part of her $3 Wild Cherry Crossword Tripler and wasn’t sure whether she won, so her uncle scanned her ticket with the Hoosier Lottery app.

After receiving the message that the prize was too large to cash at a retailer, Gracie’s uncle exclaimed, “This means you’ve won big!”

Gracie’s aunt then took the ticket and thoroughly scratched it to reveal that Gracie had won the $50,000 top prize! The family was elated for Gracie’s win.

Gracie plans to buy an iPad, pay bills and save for cosmetology school with her winnings.
