Raymond Ruth enjoys his leisure time by playing golf, watching sports, visiting with friends or loving on his rescue pup, Lizzy. He also likes to buy a few Scratch-offs each week for something fun to do.

While at Walmart, shortly after the 4th of July holiday, Raymond noticed the blue $20 Power 20s Scratch-off and thought that it looked patriotic and decided to buy it.

Raymond was standing outside of Walmart as he scratched his ticket to reveal that he had won the $20,000 top prize! “I looked down and said, ‘You gotta be kidding me!’” Raymond recalls about the moment he won.

Raymond then called his uncle who lives in Pennsylvania but had recently visited Raymond in Indiana and joined him in playing the Hoosier Lottery. His uncle couldn’t believe that he won and was happy for him.

Raymond plans to pay bills with his prize money and save the rest.
