Whenever Wayne Hamilton’s son has to work late, Wayne drives over to his son’s house to let his dog out. Wayne is retired after 20 years in the Air Force and enjoys having free time to help his son.

One evening when the Brownsburg resident was driving to his son’s, he stopped to get a cup of coffee at the convenience store near his son’s house. While there, Wayne bought a $30 200X the Cash Scratch-off. When he got back in his car and scratched it, he couldn’t believe his eyes when the ticket showed he won $30,000.

Later, wanting to be sure he really had won, Wayne asked his son to scan the ticket on the Hoosier Lottery app. After scanning it, his son turned to Wayne and said, “Dude, you just won $30,000.” “No, I didn’t,” exclaimed Wayne in disbelief.

Wayne is in the process of buying a new home and plans to use his winnings for the down payment and closing costs.
