Schererville resident Christine Neal is pretty busy working two jobs. To add a little fun to her day, she plays Mega Millions®, and she always plays her parents’ birthdays.

While watching TV on Thanksgiving morning, Christine saw the winning Mega Millions numbers.

“Wait, that’s my dad’s birth month,” she blurted out. As she looked at the rest of the numbers, she realized she had matched four numbers and the Mega Ball! “I immediately started jumping up and down in my living room,” Christine recalled with a laugh.

She looked up the prize amount and was happy to learn she won $10,000. However, the next day, she looked at her ticket again and realized the multiplier had been 4X and she actually won $40,000!

“I started jumping up and down again,” she said.

Christine loves to visit Florida, so she plans to put some of her winnings in her “Florida Fund” and some in her retirement fund.
