Gerald Collins may not be a Hoosier, but he’s a big fan of the Hoosier state after winning the $10 10X the Money Scratch-off $250,000 top prize. Gerald has been living in Indianapolis since April as a contracted electrician for the IU Health Hospital being built in Indianapolis.

Gerald plays the lottery in his home state of Florida, and he has continued his play while staying in Indiana. He likes the instant fun and excitement of playing Scratch-offs, and the $10 10X the Money stood out to him when he purchased it at a Hoosier Lottery vending machine.

He scratched the ticket in his hotel room with his friend after work. When he saw that he had won $250,000 he was in disbelief. He showed the ticket to his friend to be sure he really did win.

Gerald plans to invest the prize money—after taking a vacation, possibly to Las Vegas.
