Jeremy Rayburn, a hardworking bridge worker from Bethel, Ohio, travels across Indiana for his job and occasionally enjoys stopping at local gas stations to check out the latest Hoosier Lottery tickets. On this day, Jeremy said the new $50 Luxe Millions Scratch-off caught his eye, so he decided to give it a try for the first time.

Back at work, Jeremy took a quick break to scratch his ticket. At first glance, he couldn’t quite tell whether he’d won $10 or maybe something more. Curious, he grabbed his glasses for a closer look— and to his shock, the ticket revealed a $10,000 prize!

The disbelief was written all over Jeremy’s face. A coworker who saw the look on Jeremy’s face came over to him and joked, “Let me guess… you won 10 thousand dollars?”

Jeremy grinned and replied, “Well, yeah… I did!”

He then texted his wife a picture of his ticket, and she replied, “Wow!”

Jeremy is in between knee surgeries, having had surgery on one knee weeks before his win and with another surgery occurring a few weeks later. Jeremy plans to spend some of his winnings on his medical bills and will put the rest in savings.
