Jenifer Doud of Newburgh was overjoyed to discover she had won more than $50,000 playing Powerball®! She was at home when she checked her numbers and realized she had matched several—but wasn’t immediately sure of the exact prize amount. Excited and eager to know more, she called out to her family, asking, “How much is it?”

After checking the results on HoosierLottery.com, Jenifer learned that her Quick Pick numbers on the Powerball ticket led to a $50,000 win. To her surprise, she also won an additional $20 on another ticket, bringing her total Powerball winnings to $50,020.

Wanting to share the moment and be sure that she had really won, Jenifer called her parents and asked them to double-check the numbers. They were thrilled to see that she had matched four numbers plus the Powerball number, resulting in the largest win of Jenifer’s life.

Jenifer says she hasn’t decided yet how she wants to use her prize money, but she’s enjoying the excitement of the win and celebrating the moment with her family.
