Greenwood resident one number away from taking home the Mega Millions^® jackpot; celebrates $40,000 win
On his way home for dinner, Donald, of Greenwood, stopped at a Village Pantry to purchase a Mega Millions ticket. After waking up on Saturday morning, Donald checked his tickets using the Hoosier Lottery app and screamed in excitement as soon as the message came up on the screen. “I woke my wife up and she thought I hurt myself!” Donald exclaimed. His wife was in such shock, she had him scan the ticket again to make sure what they were seeing was actually real! 

Donald matched 4 of his 5 numbers and the Mega Ball. He won $10,000 and because he purchased the Megapliers the initial win was multiplied by four.

“It’s always fun to think about what you would do if you win, and well I guess I actually get to do that now!” Donald exclaimed. Donald and his wife are looking forward to using the money to renovate their backyard. “We’ve been wanting to put in a new porch and fire pit in our backyard; we’re excited we finally get the chance to do that!”
