Darrell Bevelhimer of Alexandria has won again! For the second time this year, he won a $10,000 prize playing the Hoosier Lottery’s Daily 4—using the exact same numbers as his earlier win in January. After this win, Darrell has no plans to stop playing his numbers on his favorite Draw game.

Darrell works at General Motors in Marion and has been a dedicated Hoosier Lottery player for years. About 10 years ago, he and a group of coworkers started a weekly lottery pool, contributing money together to play different Draw games. Their combination of work and play led to a $250,000 win to split among their group.

Earlier this year, Darrell bought Daily 4 tickets and matched the winning draw, giving him a $10,000 win. Despite people urging him to pick new numbers after that, he decided to keep playing his favorites.

Only a handful of months later, in July, Darrell got home one day and started settling in as he always does; then he began to check the Daily 4 numbers. He was stunned to see that his same set of numbers had won again.

“I just couldn’t believe my numbers hit again,” he said. “I told my family, and they said, ‘No way! Not again!’”

Darrell plans to use part of his winnings to help with ongoing home renovations, including new paint and carpet.
