In Parker City, there’s a celebrity about town, and her name is Frenchy. She’s Randy Hutson’s Boston Terrier. Every day Frenchy goes for a walk and a ride in the car. She joins Randy on errands to the bank (Frenchy’s favorite for the treats), the post office and a Hoosier Lottery retailer.

Randy has been playing the Hoosier Lottery for years and usually plays CA$H 5. After winning $15 on CA$H 5, Randy purchased a $10 $38,000,000 Spectacular Scratch-off. “I saw the top prize was $500,000, and I thought that’d be nice,” he said.

Randy scratched his ticket in the garage when he got home and revealed he’d won $10,000! “I couldn’t believe it,” he recalled about the moment he won. With a trembling voice, he asked his wife to look at the ticket and confirm what he had won. And for final confirmation, he scanned his ticket on the Hoosier Lottery app.

Randy and his wife claimed their prize the very next day, on September 12, which just happened to be their 17th wedding anniversary. The couple plan to celebrate their anniversary at the casino in Rising Sun and look forward to treating themselves with the prize money. The rest of the prize money will be put in the bank.
