Muncie resident Mike stays busy working in the construction industry. To add a little fun to his day, he likes to play Hoosier Lottery games. 

One evening as Mike and his wife were driving home from running errands, they stopped to get gas. Mike went inside the convenience store to redeem a couple Scratch-offs and decided to use part of his $75 in winnings to purchase one $50 Luxe Millions ticket. 

His wife began scratching the ticket while they were driving home. 

“No, not a winner,” she said and started to put the ticket away. 

“Hang on,” Mike said as he opened the Hoosier Lottery app on his phone to scan the ticket. 

“We’re going to Indy!” he exclaimed upon seeing a message stating the prize was too large to cash at a retailer and he would need to contact the Hoosier Lottery. 

Mike and his wife happily drove to the Hoosier Lottery’s Prize Payment office in Indianapolis to claim his $10,000 prize.

The couple plans to remodel their bathroom and put the remaining prize money in savings.
