Kenny Fisher, a retired business owner, sailed away with over $100,000 from a Powerball® win. Kenny is from Lafayette and had worked his way up to owning his own lawn care and snow plowing business that serviced most parts of the state. After 30-plus years of servicing businesses across Indiana, he retired and has been enjoying his retirement, mostly at sea. Together with his wife, Kenny has made cruising their favorite pastime. The couple has already been on an impressive 45 cruises, exploring the world one port at a time. But the adventures just got a little sweeter thanks to his recent win.

Kenny enjoys playing slot machines on the cruises and Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs and Draw Games while on land. He bought Powerball tickets and decided to check his numbers while relaxing by a fire pit one evening. He scanned his tickets and found out he won, but he was unsure how much his prize was.

He matched four white balls and the Powerball and thought he had won $50,000, forgetting about the Power Play® multiplier he had added to his ticket. When he went to claim his prize, he was surprised to find out that he had actually won $100,000!

He called his sons and told them about his win, and they said, “You’ve got to be kidding me!” Kenny couldn’t believe it either and is eager to continue enjoying his retirement with his wife. He already has a few cruises lined up for the rest of the year, but with his new Powerball win, he’s now setting sights on a bucket-list item: an Alaskan cruise.
