William Shiflett loves music, and while he’s working at his landscaping job, he’s jamming with his headphones on. 

Outside of work, William plays Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs for fun. He has won $500 a few times, but he decided to change up his play and try a new ticket—the $5 Aces and 8s. He hadn’t seen this game before but thought he’d give it a shot. 

William took the ticket home to play it. He was in disbelief when he saw he won the $80,000 top prize! Stunned, he took the ticket to his neighbor to look at. 

“Let’s go scan this at the store,” his neighbor suggested, and the pair walked to the nearby store to scan his ticket. 

Once William was certain that he won $80,000, he about passed out. He cried all night and was unbelievably thankful for the win. 

William plans to pay off his car loan with the prize money. He’s also considering purchasing a fishing boat.
