Marco Marques Batista is a soccer referee, officiating more than 1,000 games in the Indianapolis area each year. When Marco is not on the soccer field, he will occasionally play the Hoosier Lottery, mainly jackpot games. Marco decided to play CA$H 5 when the jackpot climbed to over $500,000.
Marco stopped at his local Walmart and purchased a few quick pick tickets in hopes of winning the jackpot. Later, on his way to a monster truck show at the Kokomo Speedway, he noticed that there had been a CA$H 5 winner and he decided to scan his ticket using the Hoosier Lottery app. He then realized that he had won the jackpot! Marco was one of two jackpot winners, and though he received half the jackpot amount, he was still extremely pleased.
Marco plans to buy a home with his prize money. He then plans to celebrate the win in his new home with friends and family.
