After Indianapolis resident Michelle Boyd was involved in a car accident, she needed help while she recovered and went to stay with her niece. Michelle and her niece were at Meijer to buy some first aid items when Michelle decided to buy a couple Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs.
Michelle scratched a $10 Chrome at her niece’s home and was in disbelief when she saw that she won $10,000. “I don’t think I saw what I saw,” Michelle said as she handed the ticket to her brother to check. Michelle’s niece also looked at the ticket and agreed that it was a $10,000 winning ticket!
Michelle plans to repay her niece for her hospitality and generosity during this challenging time and to pay some bills with her prize money. Despite her circumstance, Michelle was overwhelmed with joy to have won and plans to treat her family to a nice dinner after claiming her prize.
