Sabrina Hart of Evansville won a $50,000 top prize on the $3 Wild Cherry Crossword Tripler Scratch-off.

Sabrina Hart, a shift manager at a pharmacy in Evansville, walked to a nearby Chuckles gas station after work to purchase some Scratch-offs. “I love playing the crossword Scratch-offs, and because it was my birthday I decided to treat myself,” she said. 

After she purchased the tickets, she looked at the clerks and jokingly told them, “This one is going to be a winner because it’s my birthday!”

Once she got home, Sabrina sat down and turned on the TV and started to play the ticket. As she was scratching, she kept uncovering different words on the puzzle. After she was done, she counted all 10 words on the puzzle and realized that she won the $50,000 top prize!

“I haven’t told many people about the win yet, but everyone that I have told has been shocked and incredibly happy for me!” Sabrina exclaimed. When asked about her plans with the prize money, Sabrina said that she was looking forward to purchasing a new car and the opportunity to help people in her community. “As much as I would love to keep the money for myself, I want to do my best to help the people around me.”
