Sherry and William Neeley kicked off their family retreat weekend to Brown County, Ind. with a stop by the Hoosier Lottery office in Indianapolis to claim their $13,000 prize from a Daily 4 winning ticket.
The couple resides in Muncie where Sherry owns an electrical business at which her husband, William, works as an electrician. William plays the lottery more often than his wife and purchased the winning ticket. “I’m on the road a lot as an electrician traveling from job to job. I like to stop at Village Pantry locations to pick up drinks, snacks and lottery tickets.” William said.
William typically plays Scratch-offs and prefers to scratch and scan them in the store. “I like when the screen says, ‘Congratulations!’ really big. Plus, I can’t see the symbols without my glasses.” On this day William elected to use a portion of his prize money from a previous ticket to purchase the winning Daily 4 ticket. He knew he had matched the numbers the next morning, but asked his coworker to scan his ticket with the Hoosier Lottery app to see how much he had won.
The couple plans to put the money in the bank and continue playing the Hoosier Lottery.
Daily 4 odds vary by player selection.
