A group of coworkers from Henry County split a $50,000 prize on Powerball. The group plays Powerball together in a pool.
All the Powerball pool members work for Henry Community Health’s lab, and 17 in all split the $50,000 prize.
“At one point the jackpot was really high, and then we just kept on doing it,” one of the group members said of how the Powerball pool was formed.
They also play Mega Millions and Hoosier Lotto.
Each group member won just shy of $3,000 before taxes. They had various plans on how to spend the money, including vacations and home renovation projects.
The winning ticket was purchased at Rose City Quick Pix in Richmond.
