Evansville resident Larry Elpers is a regular player of draw games and is now celebrating a $50,000 Powerball win.
Elpers bought the winning ticket at Himal Food Mart on February 23, 2019, just a few hours prior to the drawing. The retired barber returned to the retailer to check his ticket and realized he had won.
He plans to put some of the money into savings and use the rest for upgrades on his 2000 Corvette.
