An Indianapolis woman was filled with gratitude after discovering she won one of the top prizes on a $3 Wild Cherry Crossword Tripler Scratch-off.
“This is the only game I’ve played,” Kelly K. said while claiming the $50,000 prize at Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis.
Kelly said she’d won smaller prizes on the game before, but nothing this big.
“I about hyperventilated and then I screamed,” Kelly said.
Kelly plans to replace her 20-year-old car with the prize money.
The winning ticket was purchased at McClure Oil, 5301 Rockville Road in Indianapolis. Kelly plans to return to the retailer with a message for the cashier who sold her the Scratch-off: “Thank you so much for selling me a winning ticket.”
