Nicole Amante of Jeffersonville likes to play Scratch-offs and typically buys them at the Meijer near her home. On this day, though, she had to drive to Zionsville to pick up her niece and decided to buy two $30 200X the Cash Scratch-offs at the Meijer there.
She and her niece drove back to Jeffersonville, and Nicole got ready to go to her job at University of Louisville Health. Before leaving for work, she remembered the Scratch-offs she bought and started scratching them. After scratching the second ticket, she saw that she won the top prize of $30,000.
Her first thought was, “Is this real?” Wanting to be sure, Nicole scanned the ticket with the Hoosier Lottery app. She was ecstatic when she realized she really had won. She immediately ran into the bedroom to wake her fiancé with the news. When she showed him the ticket, he exclaimed, “What?! You won?!”
Nicole plans to use some of her winnings for a family vacation to celebrate her son’s birthday.
