Jason Coleman of Whiting called it “one of those, ‘Oh my gosh’ moments” when he won $50,000 on Powerball.
Jason said he likes to play Powerball when the jackpot is particularly high. He found out he won $50,000 in real time. He was watching the live drawing on television.
“I paused it,” he said. “I pulled (the ticket) out.”
Jason said he wondered, “is this really happening?”
An electrician by trade, Jason said he had multiple entrepreneurial ideas for the prize money.
He bought the winning ticket at Strack & Van Til, 1836 Calumet Ave., Whiting.
