Austin Bryant works for a company that manages several apartment complexes in the Plainfield area, and when he's not working at one of the properties, he likes to play Powerball®. He usually stops at the Village Pantry near his home to buy tickets. One evening he stopped to get a snack and decided to buy some Powerball tickets.
The next afternoon, Austin was home having lunch and saw the stack of tickets sitting on the table. He began scanning them with the Hoosier Lottery app, and when he scanned the next to last ticket, the app showed he won $50,000. Austin couldn't believe it. He immediately felt excited and a little nervous.
When he went back to work that afternoon, he showed his coworkers the winning ticket and they were very happy for him. Austin was relieved when the apartment manager suggested he put his ticket in the office safe. "I was so nervous," said Austin. "What if I lose it or get something on it?"
Austin plans to use his winnings for a new car and new furniture.
