Ryan Doyle works for Ball Metal Beverage Packaging in Monticello, and working on cars is his passion and main hobby. He’s currently working on a project car from the mid-90s that he hopes to turn into a “sleeper” (a car that doesn’t look fast but is extremely quick).
When he’s taking a break from working on cars, Ryan likes to play the Hoosier Lottery. He mostly plays Scratch-offs for the instant fun but occasionally plays Draw games if there is a large jackpot. He usually buys his tickets from the gas station near his house and picks up tickets whenever he stops for gas.
On the day he won the $30 200X The Cash $30,000 top prize, Ryan scratched the ticket in the parking lot of the gas station. “I thought I was going to have a heart attack,” Ryan remembers about the moment he realized he won. Ryan went back inside to tell the clerk, whom he knows well, that he had won the top prize. “Her jaw just dropped,” Ryan said.
The day prior, Ryan and a coworker had been daydreaming about winning a huge jackpot. When Ryan told this coworker that he wouldn’t be coming into work the next day because he had to claim his prize, his coworker was excited for him.
Ryan plans to pay bills with the prize money.
