On this day, the Terre Haute resident bought a $30 Mega Money Scratch-off and scratched it while still in the store. Realizing that she won a significant prize, Lakesha went to her car to scan the ticket on the Hoosier Lottery app. “It was the sweetest moment,” Lakesha said about realizing her win.
When she returned home, Lakesha asked her children how much they thought she won. They all guessed thousands of dollars less than her prize, and eventually Lakesha shared the amount—$20,000!
Lakesha is going to use her prize money to buy a second car for her family and will put the rest toward a vacation.
