A Mishawaka woman said she was “still in shock” when she visited Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis to claim her $100,000 prize.
Brandy Gennicks won a top prize of $100,000 on a $5 Wild Cherry Crossword 5X Scratch-off.
Brandy bought the winning ticket around 2:30 a.m. at Quick Stop Food Center, 335 W. McKinley Ave., Mishawaka after getting off work. She came into the Hoosier Lottery office the same day to claim her prize.
After scratching the ticket, Brandy said she checked and double-checked the words on the crossword puzzle. She then wrote them all out to make sure she had a winner.
Brandy plans to splurge a little but primarily save the winnings.
